Start up/push back Procedures for Turbine Aircraft
- The normal procedure is for a pilot to advise SHE TWR that it is starting in 3-5 minutes and ascertain that aircraft will not get delay due to traffic.
- when a delay is expected, SHE TWR shall advise the pilot of the earlier time of departure.
- For a wide-bodied or jumbo jet aircarft parked on terminal A and B, SHE TWR shall issue a push back time instead of clearance to start up.
- Due to possibility of conflict in traffic, a clearance expiry time may be issued with the push back time. Aclearance shall be considered canceled an aircraft is unable to comply with the time so specified.
